Now hiring · One trainer · Back Bay, Boston

Most training jobs hand you
a floor and a quota.
This one hands you a method.

AER on Newbury is a one-on-one, PRI-trained studio in Back Bay. We're hiring one experienced trainer who's genuinely curious about that kind of work — and wants to be taught to do it well.

The room

Not a floor job.

AER on Newbury is a one-on-one studio in Back Bay built on an idea most gyms skip:change how someone breathes, and you change how they move, recover, and feel in their own body. We're PRI-trained (Postural Restoration). We don't run group classes — every session is one person, start to finish. We care more about doing the work deeply than about doing a lot of it.

We're hiring one experienced trainer who's genuinely curious about that kind of work and wants to be taught to do it well.

If you're happiest running a packed floor and counting reps, this isn't your room. If you've ever wondered why a client's shoulder won't settle until their ribcage does — read on.

The method

You'll be taught the method.
Paid, and on the job.

You don't need to know PRI coming in. You'll learn to read a client's breathing, posture, and nervous-system patterns and build their program from what you actually see — mentored directly in the method by our founder, Peter Jang (MFA, CSCS, PRT).

No PRI experience required — we train it. Curiosity about it is the real requirement.

What you'll do

The work.

  • Train clients one-on-one, start to finish.
  • Learn to read a client's breathing, posture, and nervous-system patterns and build their program from what you actually see — we'll train you in PRI, paid and on the job.
  • Grow and keep your own book of clients.
  • Bring real attention to the person in front of you, every session.

Who you are

The person we're looking for.

  • A certified trainer (CSCS, NASM, ACSM, NSCA-CPT, or equivalent) who can already run a safe, effective one-on-one session on your own.
  • Genuinely curious about integrative movement work — you want the why, not just the rep count.
  • Warm and present with people, and coachable enough to be trained in a new method.
  • No PRI experience required — we train it. Curiosity about it is the real requirement.

A plus, not a must

Exposure to PRI, breathing mechanics, or corrective/rehab-adjacent work; a background in exercise science or kinesiology; the kind of person who reads the study.
